Department of Physical Planning and Works Services is charged with the responsibility of superintending the planning and execution of Physical Infrastructures and facilities of the University geared toward realising the vision and mandate of FUNAI as a world class University.
The Department also oversees various minor works and maintenance of all facilities on Campus. Accordingly the Department comprises of several Units namely, Building/Civil Engineering Unit, Mechanical Engineering Unit, Electrical/Electronics Engineering Unit, Architectural Unit, Estate Unit and Metrological Observatory Unit.
Key Professional Personnel of the Department include a Deputy Director, four Principal Engineers ( Civil/Structural, Mechanical, Electrical), one Chemical engineer and two Architects. While the Professional Staff are supported by two Higher Technical Officers, one Technical Officer and an assistant Estate Officer, the Administrative support Unit has an Administrative Assistant, a Clerical Officer and an Office Attendant.
