Makuachukwu Gabriel Ojide is a Development Economist working with Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI), Ebonyi State, Nigeria. He has keen interest in socio-economic development and enhancement of sustainable livelihood systems through intervention activities, and impact evaluation of such interventions. He has participated in several multidisciplinary and multicultural research projects, and facilitated training in economic research in different universities. He has participated in several multidisciplinary and multicultural research projects sponsored by donors including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, African Development Bank (AFDB), CGIAR, Wageningen University of Research, and World Food Programme (WFP). He has Bachelor’s degree in statistics/economics; M.Sc. and Ph.D. in economics (University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Nigeria). Prior to joining AE-FUNAI in January 2018, he worked with the Socioeconomic Unit of the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) for 4 years. He was a Research Associate (for 3 years) with the Centre for Public Policy Alternatives (CPPA) – a think tank based in Lagos, Nigeria. He has marketing experience with Union System Limited (Software services firm based in Lagos, Nigeria) and Access Bank Plc – Nigeria (Retail Banking Division). He is the incumbent Director (Ag.) of Centre Entrepreneurship and Employability (CEE) at AE-FUNAI.
