biography (Education/professional experience/professional accomplishments)

Dr. Chukwuemeka Emmanuel Ibeh obtained a Ph.D. in Peace and Conflict Studies from the Institute of Peace and Strategies Studies, the University of Ibadan in September 2016.

At present, he is a lecturer at the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Management and Social Sciences, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufe Alike, where he teaches Politics of development and Underdevelopment. Previously he worked as a part-time lecturer at Abia State University Uturu, where he taught Peace and Conflict Resolution at the Division of General Studies.

 

His areas of interest include security, governance, gender and development studies; and youth empowerment and peace-building.

He is a board member of the Igbo Peace Scholars Association, an organization that focused on peace research in the Southeast of Nigeria. He also belongs to other professional bodies such as the Society for Peace Practice and Studies (SPSP) and a Research Fellow, French Research Institute in Africa (IFRA -Nigeria): A Peer Reviewing organization which promotes research in social sciences and the humanities as well as to enhance collaborative work between scholars in France and West Africa.
