Akuneziri Peace Amara is anAssistant Lecturer at the Department of English and Literary Studies, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu Alike, Ebonyi State, Nigeria. She holds a master’s degree in Literature in English from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ifethat explored the place of Igbo folk music in contemporary Nigeria and African society at large. The study showed her a deeper understanding of Igbo folk music arts and how it can serve as an agent of Igbo language development at a time when Igbo language is becoming one of the endangered languages of the world.Her research areas include folk music, popular culture,and African literature. She is an aspiring PhD candidate.
