AE-FUNAI COMMUNITY MOURNS WITH REGISTRAR

In the spirit of ‘Be your brother’s keeper- rejoice with those who rejoice, mourn with those who mourn, ‘’which has of course become a tenet in the melting pot of the university, Vice-Chancellor Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba on Friday 5th July, 2019 led principal officers, good number of senior and junior staff of AE-FUNAI to the burial of the father-in-law of the university Registrar, Odisa Okeke(Mrs).

Reverend Geoffrey Chukwuemeka Okeke, a retired Assistant Chief Agriculture Superintendant and Minister of God, departed this world at age of 93 and survived by wife, children, grand and great- grandchildren and relations including our own Odisa C. Okeke (Mrs).

The burial service at St. Christopher Anglican Church, Ndam Ngo,Nnobi, Anambra state, was attended by many Bishops, Reverends and members of the Anglican Communion within and outside Anambra state, including Bishop Ifemene of Ikwo Diocese, Ebonyi State.

Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Nwajiuba and university officers who were on grand at the funeral service to join in praying for repose of the soul of Rev. Pa Okeke and commiserate with Registrar and entire Okeke family gave necessary support and encouragement to our beloved Registrar.

Odisa Okeke (Mrs) who was overwhelmed and highly elated at the gesture, especially the large turn out to the burial, expressed utmost gratitude to our dear VC and his entourage for standing strong by her and family at a time like this.
