
AE-FUNAI Scholars Donate Academic Materials to University Library
Some scholars in the Department of Physics/Geology/Geo-Physics, Alex-Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State, recently donated 165 textbooks and Journals in the field of physics to the university library.

Receiving this unique gift on behalf of the university, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Chinedum Nwajiuba expressed his delight over the gesture, noting that the gift was a worthy investment in the lives of the present and further generation of the university.

He urged the university librarian to ensure that the intellectual works were well documented and preserved for academic references and consultations, adding that academic materials were treasures without measure.
The Director of Center for Educational Services and the leader of the group that donated the academic materials, Professor Michael Onuu while presenting the items noted that the gesture was part of their community service initiative to the university, adding that the materials would also be useful for the forthcoming National Universities Commission accreditation Programme.

He maintained that they were driven by the need to ensure that their discipline gets full NUC accreditation and also to make both staff and students in the field of physics have easy access to quality books and journals in the departmental and university libraries.
