The Faculty of Humanities on Wednesday 6th 0ctober paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor of Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo, Prof Chinedum Uzoma Nwajiuba, thanking him for the completion of their new Faculty building.

Speaking on behalf of the Faculty, the Dean, Prof. G.M.T Emezue said they were grateful to the Vice Chancellor for his efforts in repositioning the Faculty of Humanities and the University at large. She noted that the Vice Chancellor is a result-oriented leader and would take the University to the Promised Land, and pledged that her Faculty would work assiduously to achieve the vision of University.

Prof. Nwajiuba who was visibly overwhelmed by their show of gratitude thanked the Dean and entire staff of the Faculty, stating that the university would continue to get better in order to groom quality students that would propel the development of the country. He charged them to put in their best by equipping the students with relevant skills and knowledge.

The Vice Chancellor further assured them of a serene and beautiful environment for teaching and learning, noting that the University new gate would soon be opened for use. He enjoined the staff of the Faculty to follow the footsteps of the Department of Political Science/Mass Communication by planting trees on campus to beautify and sustain the University environment.

The high point of the visit was the presentation of an art work to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Nwajiuba by the Faculty.
