FUNAI HAS ONE OF THE BEST STUDENTS – LECTURER RATIO – VC

The Vice Chancellor, Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo (FUNAI), Ebonyi State, Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba said that the University has one of the best students-lecturer ratio that could be found anywhere in the world.

The Vice Chancellor stated this when he hosted a media parley to commence a week long activities leading to the maiden convocation ceremony of the University holding on 20th December, 2016.

“University is not about the structures but the content of its products. The Roman Empire is long gone, even when some of the structures are still standing. Our University has one of the best students- lecturer ratio you can find anywhere in the world and that has impacted positively on the quality of our graduates”, he stated.

Prof. Nwajiuba used the occasion to reel out the activities to mark the first  convocation ceremony of the University with a special emphasis on the convocation lecture to be delivered by the Honourable Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu on Monday, 19th December, 2016.  Dr. Onu will be speaking on “Pioneering and Pioneers: The Search for Self Sufficiency”, with  Prof. Ihechukwu Madubike as Chairman of the occasion. The convocation ceremony proper will be on Tuesday, 20th December, 2016.

The highpoint of the event was an award of scholarship to three students of the University by Tenece Technology, for their extra-ordinary performance in the last academic year. The students are: Ehiogu Chioma, Omogo Chukwuma and Eze Sarah, all students of Department of Mathematics/Computer Science/Statistics.
