
FUNAI REGISTRY STAFF EMBRACE ICT
In a bid to reposition its Registry Department to make it efficient, relevant and in tune with modern administration, the Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo (FUNAI), Ebonyi State under the auspices of Directorate of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is building the IT capacities of its staff.
Declaring the programm open, the Acting Director of ICT, Dr. Friday Nwalo said the objective was to provide foundational understanding and functional knowledge of computer hardware and software, in other to enhance the staff knowledge for effective and efficient operation in the University.

Nwalo further stressed that the benefits of the training to staff and University include better utilization of IT resources, reduction of operational costs through self service, enhancement of staff computer dexterity which would culminate in efficient service delivery among all staff of the University.
Underscoring the benefits of ICT traing to the Registry staff, the Registrar of the University, Mrs. Odisa Okeke noted that the utilization of ICT in the activities of the Registry would ensure speedy and efficient discharge of their duties, adding that as core administrtors in the University, the Registry staff play pivotal role in maintaining the University system.

The Registrar who was represented in the event by a staff of the Central Registry, Miss Amarachi Chimezie maintained that the training would help the staff to discarge their duties efficienntly, urging the participants to utilize the opportunity the training has provided them well.
The hands-on ICT training started on June 20th, 2017 and is to last till September, 2017. The essence is to give all Registry staff the opportunity to be part of it.
