NUC, TETFUND PLEDGE SUPPORT FOR FUNAI
The National Universities Commission (NUC) and Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) have pledged support to the vision of the Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo in the areas of academic re-engineering and infrastructural development.
This pledge was made on Wednesday, August 10th, 2016 at Abuja when the Vice Chancellor, Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo, Professor Chinedum Nwajiuba paid a courtesy call on the newly appointed Executive Secretaries of NUC and TETFUND, Professor Abubakar Rasheed and Dr.Baffa Bichi respectively at their offices.
This visit was driven by the desire of the Vice Chancellor to partner and collaborate with all the critical stakeholders of the University that are strategic to the actualization of the vision of the University as a world-class institution.
In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Nwajiuba congratulated each of them for their well deserved appointments by President Mohammadu Buhari, and wished them well in the discharge of their national assignments.
The Executive Secretary of NUC, Prof. Rasheed in his response pledged to support the Vice Chancellor in achieving the academic goals of the University. In his part the Executive Secretary of TETFUND, Dr.Bichi assured the Vice Chancellor of his unflinching support in the area of infrastructural development. He further promised to ensure that all TETFUND-sponsored projects in the University are delivered on time.
The Vice Chancellor was accompanied on the visit by the Director of Academic Planning, Prof. Kevin N. Nwogu and his Special Assistant on Linkages and Advancement, Mr. Chris Uwadoka.
