The Proprietor of Folk Technical College, Onu Nwakpu, Ikwo LGA of Ebonyi State, Chief Hon. It could be recalled that FUNAI had in August to October 2016 partnered Folk Technical College in collaboration with the Industrial Training Fund, to train over 100 youths of the host community (Ikwo) in order to build their capacity to be self reliant in areas like carpentry, fashion and designing, paint making and manufacturing, catering, bead making and various other entrepreneurial activities.

‘’for this singular gesture of yours, we thank you immensely and pledge the best result should such opportunity call again in future’’.
The skills acquisition collaboration between the University, Folk Technical College, Ikwo and the Industrial Training Fund was one of the numerous programmes the Nwajiuba’s administration is using to improve the lives and livelihood of the members of the University’s host community.
It is expected that the beneficiaries of the empowerment programme would deploy the garnered skills and knowledge to enhance their lives and contribute meaningfully to the growth of their community.
