Tender for Nutrition-Sensitive Value Chain Analyses in Nigeria (February 13, 2017 Deadline)

This is to inform you that the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), a specialized agency of the United Nations, has issued a tender for Nutrition-Sensitive Value Chain Analyses in Nigeria.
As part of a project to develop a guide for how to design nutrition-sensitive value chains, IFAD seeks to commission a study that will carry out value chain analysis with a nutrition lens. The analysis will be carried out for a set of commodities that have been selected not only for their market potential, but also based on their potential to improve the nutrition of smallholder farmers. Using an IFAD-funded project in Nigeria as a real-world example, the purpose of the consultancy is to pilot and test an innovative approach that goes beyond a standard VC analysis and considers aspects relevant to make value chains more nutrition-sensitive.
