Emenike N. Anyaegbunam is a Reader (Associate Professor) of Psychology in the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Management and Social Sciences. He has a background in Industrial/Organisational Psychology, Applied Social Psychology and for several years specialised in teaching Social Psychology and Research Methods/Statistics to both undergraduate and graduate students. He taught Psychology courses for several years at Nwafor Orizu College of Education, Nsugbe, a degree awarding institution affiliated to University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN). He joined the service of Alex Ekwueme Federal University in 2012 where he is currently teaching Introduction to Psychology, Statistics for the Social Sciences, Research Methods in Psychology, Introduction to Positive Psychology, Introduction to Social Psychology, Advance Social Psychology, Ethnicity and Ethnic Group Relations etc. He has published widely in his chosen research areas of HIVAIDS and Stigma, leadership and followership, intergroup contact and harmony, aggressive/violent behaviour etc. He has experience in external examination in the areas of Social and Experimental Psychology. He is currently external examiner to the postgraduate programme of the Department of Psychology University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He is a member of Collaborative Replication Education Project (CREP) of the Psychological Science Accelerators (PSA). He is a member of Nigerian Psychological Association (NPA), American Psychological Association (APA), Nigerian Association of Social Psychologists (NASP) and the current Chair Person Nigerian Psychological Association, Ebonyi State Chapter.

Emenike N. Anyaegbunam studied and received Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Psychology in 1999, Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Industrial/Organisational Psychology in 2002 and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 2010, all from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Nigeria. - Area of expertise/interest
Experienced in Positive Psychotherapy and Counselling people living with HIV/AIDS, and in the use of SPSS and PROCESS MACRO packages for data analysis. Areas of research interest includes HIV/AIDS and stigma, leadership/followership, intergroup contact and intergroup harmony, adolescent aggressive behaviour among others. - Selected Publications
