Biography (Education/Professional Experience/Professional Accomplishments)
Amadi, Mark Umunna is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Agriculture (Economics) at the Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ikwo (AE-FUNAI), Ebonyi State; he has also served in a graduate assistantship capacity at the Department of Economics and Development Studies. He obtained a first degree in Agricultural Economics (University of Abuja), an M.Sc. in Applied Labour Economics for Development (University of Turin, Italy) and an Executive Master from the Sciences Po, Paris, France. Mr. Mark teaches in both Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness & Management programmes of the Faculty of Agriculture, AE-FUNAI. He also handles the Economics courses for the JUPEB programme of the Centre for Educational Services AE-FUNAI. He is passionate about human capacity development opportunities and does his due diligence in knowledge transfer of Economic thoughts. Mr. Mark is enrolled as a Ph.D student in the Department of Agricultural Economics of the Federal University of Technology Owerri. He has his interests set on Development Economics, Agricultural Production and Policy, Environmental and Resource Economics, Agribusiness Management, Macroeconomics and Labour Economics. He has made some effort in research and academic literature, having contributed articles in notable journals like; Environmental Progress and Sustainable Energy, Sustainability, International Journal of Agricultural Research Governance and Ecology, AIMS Agriculture and Food, Journal of Agricultural Extension, Agricultural Economics and Extension Research Studies. Mark is an individual very motivated to explore and excel in academics and community developmental concerns; he has also been involved in USAID and Tetfund sponsored researches in community level issues in Ebonyi State.
