Biography (Education/Professional Experience/Professional Accomplishments)

Mr Ankrumah Emmanuel currently serves as an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Agriculture (Crop Production Proramme), Faculty of Agriculture, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ikwo, Ebonyi State, Nigeria. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D in Crop Production at the University of Nigeria Nsukka. Before now, Mr Ankrumah Emmanuel has obtained his B.Agric. Tech. (Hons) in Crop Production from the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi in 2009, and M.Sc. in Agronomy from Bayero University Kano in 2016. Mr Ankrumah Emmanuel has worked with the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) at both the headquarters-Ibadan and Kano station from 2010 – 2016. Mr Ankrumah research areas include, Legume Sustainable Cropping System, Legumes-Cereals Cropping System, Climate Smart Crop Production, Sustainable-Good Agronomic Practice Systems (S-Gaps), Sustainable Vegetable Crop Production. Mr Ankrumah has published articles in prestigious peer-reviewed journals. He has worked as Research Supervisor in the IITA-Syngenta Maize and Vegetables Project of IITA (2014-2016), Research Assistant in the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) of Cowpea in Africa Project of IITA at Kano Station (2010-2014).

Mr Ankrumah Emmanuel has skills and expertise in design field crop research, management of field and screen house experiment, field and screen house data collection skills and Lab Samples measurement and analysis. Mr Ankrumah has attended trainings among which are Data Management and Analysis using software statistical packages like SAS, GenStat, R and Stata. Mr Ankrumah has delivered lectures on topics related to his core research interest.
