BIOGRAPHY (EDUCATION/PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS)

Dr. Ademola C. Famurewa currently serves as a Lecturer and Researcher at the Department of Medical Biochemistry, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ikwo, Ebonyi State, Nigeria. He obtained his Ph.D in Medical Biochemistry from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu Campus in 2018 followed by a short-term postdoctoral fellowship and training in Professor Achuthan C Raghavamenon’s laboratory, Amala Cancer Research Center, Kerala, India. Dr Famurewa research areas include phytomedicine, functional foods and toxicology. Dr Famurewa has published articles in prestigious peer-reviewed journals and a current reviewer for journals published by Elsevier, Taylor and Francis, Wiley, SAGE, and others. He’s a winner of International Fellowship, awards, research grants, including the TetFund/FUNAI Research Grant and ARL 2017 Biomedical Research Grant by the African Research League/College of Medicine, University of Nigeria. He is a member of the Association of Clinical Chemists of Nigeria (ACCN), Nigerian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (NSBMB), and Nigerian Institute of Management (Chartered).
