biography (Education/professional experience/professional accomplishments)

 

Egwu, Ifeanyi Ogbonnia currently teaches and research in African Art History and Painting at the Department of Fine and Applied Arts, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ikwo, Ebonyi State, Nigeria. He obtained his M.A in Painting from the University of Lagos, Akoka, Yaba, and Lagos in 2008. Currently, he is finalizing his Ph.D research in Art History, from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Anambra State, Nigeria.

Egwu, Ifeanyi Ogbonnia’s research interest is in the area of African Art History –with emphasis in ethno-aesthetic historicism of modern African Art. His focus is in the area of proper historicizing of African art
