I joined the department of Economics and Development Studies in 2012 having graduated from the Ebonyi state university with a first class (Honours) in Economics. I now hold two masters degrees from the United Kingdom: I hold master’s degree in petroleum, energy economics and finance from the University of Aberdeen (Scotland) and master’s degree in applied economics of development from the University of Sussex (England). In addition to about four (4) years of teaching experience as graduate assistant in AEFUNA, I had a combined teaching experience of two years in the universities of Aberdeen and Sussex as associate tutor. I am currently a doctoral scholar at the Centre for the Analysis of Trade and economic Transitions (CATT), University of Pau, France. My research aims at blending econometrics and development economics theories. I have completed some studies in the areas of migration and remittances, energy and environment-related behaviours, firms’ behaviours including activities of international oil companies (OICs). In the meantime, I am exploring the nexus between violent conflicts and measures of deprivation including food insecurity.
