Omenyi, Louis O.

Lecturer II

Biography

Dr. Omenyi Louis holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the prestigious Loughborough University in United Kingdom. His research focuses on spectral theory, spectral geometry and global analysis of elliptic differential operators on Riemannian manifolds. These have direct consequences for operator theory, functional analysis and differential equations on manifolds.

He uses the techniques of heat kernel asymptotics, harmonic analysis and complex analysis in the study of the extremal properties of the most prominent spectral invariants, namely, spectral determinant and Casimir energy defined via the spectral zeta function under perturbations of metric of Riemannian manifolds. Researches in this area have implications for problems in quantum physics.
