Biography (Education/Professional Experience/Professional Accomplishments)

Professor A. C. U. Ezimah is a Professor of Haematology and Blood Group Science, Team Leader of the Eastern Research Group, Department of Physiology, Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, College of Medicine, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike. He earned a PhD in Haematology from the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma. He has over twenty years teaching, research and administrative experience. He is an associate Editor of numerous peer-reviewed journals and has published widely in local and international high-impact journals. He has serve as member, National Expert Committee on Adverse Events Following Immunization (National Primary Care Development Agency [NPHCDA]/WHO). Professor A. C. U. Ezimah is a member to several professional bodies including Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), Association of Medical Laboratory Scientist of Nigeria (AMLSN), Nigerian Diabetic Association and Nigerian Society for Haematology. His core research interests are Anaemia and Nutritional elements, Haematological Neoplasms, Reactive Oxygen Species and Antioxidants in the pathogenesis of diseases.
