DELEGATES OF SOUTH-EAST UNIVERSITIES GAMES ASSOCIATION VISIT AE-FUNAI

Delegates of South East Universities Games Association (SEUGA), on Wednesday, 19th February, 2020, visited the Vice-Chancellor, Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State, Professor Chinedum Nwajiuba  to show appreciation to the University for hosting SEUGA games last year  and to honour the Vice-Chancellor for  his love for sports both in the University and at the Zonal level.

Leader of the delegation, Mr. Emeka Ogbu, who doubles as Vice President of NUGA and Chairman of SEUGA stated that the aim of their visit was to present Award of Merit and Medal of Honor to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Nwajiuba, for his selfless service to humanity, his love and support for sports, and for hosting the last NUGA Games. The Enugu State University of Technology(ESUT) Director of sports, went on to present an award to  VC as a mark of honour, respect, gratitude and  for his love for sports and the association. Awards were also presented to the University Principal Officers and Coordinator, Vice-Chancellor’s Office, who were present at the Vice-Chancellor’s Conference Room to receive the SEUGA delegates.

Responding to the visiting team, DVC, Academic, Prof. Sunday Elom, who represented the Vice-Chancellor, in the company of other University Officers, welcomed the NUGA Delegates and thanked them for the award, stating that the school appreciates the spirit behind the award and promised to support the association in any areas they need the University’s support.

The SEUGA delegates were comprised of Emeka Ogbu- NUGA Vice-President and SEUGA Chairman, Alagba A.O, Director of Sports, Ebonyi State University, Olawoyin Olayinka- Director of Sports, AE-FUNAI among other officers from the University.
