FUNAI ACADEMIC WINS AFRICAN RESEARCH LEAGUE GRANT

A lecturer in the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo (FUNAI), Ebonyi State, Mr. Ademola C. Famurewa, is one of the five winners of the 2017 African Research League Biomedical/Clinical research grant initiative.

The research grant which is for undergraduates and postgraduate students of College of Medicine, University of Nigeria, and resident doctors of University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital is geared towards assisting students with high intellectual capacity to improve their academic standing.

Famurewa, a Ph.D student of the Department of Medical Biochemistry in University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus was rewarded for his excellent proposal in his field after careful assessment of all applications by the Directorate of Research and Publications of the University.

Certificates and first tranche of the grant were issued to the winners on 5th June, 2017 at the Provost’s office.
