He further added that their choice of Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo (FUNAI) for the proposed post graduate partnership and training in the field of Urognaecology was informed by the emphasis the University places on academic excellence and integrity, stressing that the partnership would be the first of its kind in sub-Saharan Africa.

The Vice Chancellor of Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo (FUNAI), Ebonyi State, Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba
Welcoming the idea in principle, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba thanked the Centre for choosing the University for such Partnership, but noted that the University is yet to commence post graduate studies, adding that the University’s College of Medicine is also envisioned to take-off by October 2017.
