
OKEKE TAKES OVER AS FUNAI REGISTRAR
Mrs Odisa Chinyelu Okeke has formally assumed duty as the 2nd substantive Registrar of the Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo (FUNAI), Ebonyi State. This is coming after the tenure expiration of the pioneer Registrar of the University, Mr. Gabriel Oko Chukwu.
Welcoming the new Registrar to the University, the Vice Chancellor,Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba stated that she was a product of a transparent selection exercise, calling on her to breast up to the challenges ahead by performing her duties diligently. The Vice Chancellor who was represented in the occasion by Chairman, Committee of Deans, Prof. Mathew Edeoga noted that the University was on the right track to attaining world-class status, and stressed the importance of cooperation among all stakeholders in that regard.

In her response, Mrs. Okeke pledged her commitment to the ideals of the University, adding that she was in the University to render quality service that would lead to the speedy development of the University.

“I will serve, serve and serve that people will know that a child of God is in service”, the Registrar stated.

Mrs. Okeke further stressed her satisfaction about various ongoing development works in the University, adding that she had noticed many positive changes since the last time she visited the University for her interview, and noted that even the University website was now wearing a new look.
Earlier the former Registrar, Mr. Chukwu explained that the University was lucky to have someone that is grounded in administration as Mrs. Okeke, noting that his door remains open for clarification concerning any issue contained in his handover notes. Mr. Chukwu further called on staff to support the new Registrar in order to help her succeed.
The highpoint of the event was the handover ceremony where the official briefs of the former Registrar was handed over to Mrs. Okeke to signal the official commencement of her tenure as the 2nd substantive Registrar of the University.

The Registrar was later taken round the campus to get her acquainted with different offices in the University.
